Not A Good Day To Ride
I don't know what it's like in your neck of the woods, but in mine it's hot. Really hot. The last I checked the temperature was almost 100 degrees. A few weeks ago I was riding my bike to work everyday. It was hot, but it wasn't miserably hot like it is today. My ole man called to see if I wanted to meet him for lunch at the gas station so I got up, put on my flip-flops and stepped outside. I looked down at my feet and for a split second thought about going back in, pulling on my boots instead and riding up there. Like I said, it only lasted a split second because in that split second I had already started sweating and my jeans felt like they were stuck to me.
So to save face, instead of complaining that it was too hot to ride I told my ole man I figured he wanted an ocean water from Sonic. If you saw the way our Sonic is laid out, there's no way you'd want to drive a motorcycle up their huge hill of a driveway, much less try taking a route 44 drink back down it. I've never complained about it being too hot to ride. If he's riding, I'm riding. I absolutely love riding, but if I have a choice on a day like today and it's just me, I'm caging it in the air conditioning!

Here I am. Like You said I'd be, crying for my Father please come rescue me. From this trouble that's blinded me. Let Thy will not mine be done, just quickly.
And show them through me. When they feel like giving up, You're all they need. Show them through me. Let me be a light, so they can see.
Peace. Be still. Rejoice and wait with me in my Father's love and truth. He told me that my salvation would comfort me. It's a peace that passess all my understanding.
So show them through me. When they feel like giving up, You're all they need. Show them through me. Let me be a light, so they can see.
Just let me be their light, so they can see. -music and lyrics written by Annette Burkett (Play Song)
