Uptown Saturday Night
I've heard that St. Augustine is one of the oldest cities in Florida. One of the
St. Augustine events held at the end of every month is Uptown Saturday Night where in the Uptown San Marco Shopping District in St. Augustine the shops stay open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The galleries and antique shops, as well as some of the other unique stores, serve wine and food. I would love to go and visit the book stores. They open their shop for book signings and meet and greets with authors. There are also shops that deal in rare and antique books. I can only imagine what a selection they must have.
There are many other things going on too. The Holly Jolly Trolley Tour of the Nights of Lights is definitely something I would see if I was there. The historic district of downtown is blanketed with millions of white lights. They have tours every night so this is something you could do while you are there enjoying the Uptown Saturday Night. You will also enjoy the live street music, shopping the antique stores and browsing through art galleries that feature the work of some of Florida's best artists. The dates for the upcoming Uptown Saturday Night are November 24th and December 29th. If you happen to go, make sure you take pictures and share them with me!
